Trash Bin Project 垃圾桶計畫
Materials: digital inkjet printing on photo papers, photo description cards
The <Trash Bin Project> is an installation including a series of photos and photo description cards. The project is inspired by a simple daily movement- throwing away the trash. ‘’ Trash’’ is related to privacy and reflects personal life. I collected ‘’ personal trash ‘’, which is the trash in people’s private spaces, from people who have different occupations and social identities. I also asked participants to provide their ‘’ personal information’’, which includes occupation, gender, age, work position, relationship status, and so on. Through my imagination of life traces and social identities, I selected and rearranged the trash to create portraits of specific identities.
Each set of works contains an image of personal trash and an artwork label that displays the personal information of the owner of the trash.
